Times-Union Article on Texting Citations, Distracted Driving

An article that appeared in the Florida Times-Union and the St. Augustine Record found that citations for texting while driving, both locally and statewide, are low because texting while driving is a secondary offense; officers need another reason to pull drivers over to cite them for texting. Proposed legislation would make texting while driving a primary offense and help change that.
Wayne Hogan was interviewed in the article and asked about the firm’s Distracted Driving Awareness Campaign that began with a presentation for teens and expanded to a presentation for adult drivers because distracted driving is such a big problem on our roadways.  He encouraged companies to have distracted driving policies in place to keep workers safe and help protect their bottom lines.
