Attorney Bruce Anderson Elected to Circuit Court Judge

We’re proud our colleague, Bruce Anderson, will join the Fourth Judicial Circuit Court as a newly-elected judge.
“Bruce is an impeccable trial attorney, a highly valued colleague and an asset to our clients. We will miss him,” said Terrell • Hogan President, Wayne Hogan. “His depth of experience, and his integrity, professionalism and temperament will be a great benefit to the community as he serves in the judiciary.”
Known for his fairness and his exemplary ethics, Bruce was widely endorsed by leaders in the legal community, law enforcement and public service.
The Florida-Times Union strongly endorsed Bruce. In its endorsement, it wrote that Bruce had the “ideal career path to the judiciary,” that includes a rare combination of both criminal and civil law. We couldn’t agree more. As a prosecutor for State Attorney Ed Austin, defense attorney and civil trial attorney representing injured consumers at our firm for more than a decade, he’s handled 1,000 cases and trials. Bruce is now fulfilling his life-long goal of becoming a judge.

Terrell • Hogan’s Public Service Tradition

Terrell • Hogan has a strong tradition of sending seasoned trial attorneys into public office, where they serve the greater community good.
Prior to Bruce’s judicial election, Terrell • Hogan attorney Mike Sharrit was elected Judge of the 4th Judicial Circuit Court and Patty Dodson joined the State Attorney’s Office as a Managing Director. Before then, former Terrell • Hogan attorney Brian J. Davis became Chief Assistant State Attorney, then Circuit Judge and now United States District Judge and, and more recently Chris Hand became Chief of Staff to Jacksonville Mayor Alvin Brown.
As Bruce transitions to service on the Bench, we’ve arranged to continue the solid legal representation he has provided to Terrell • Hogan clients to ensure their cases advance promptly and effectively.
Winning Circuit Court judgeship was final check on Bruce Anderson’s career bucket list
