Long time Terrell • Hogan law partner and asbestos disease expert, Alan Pickert, is one of only three lawyers ever chosen from Jacksonville Florida to be a Florida Delegate in the history of the American Bar Association  (“ABA”).

Alan was chosen Lawyer of the Year in 2017, is past president of the Jacksonville Bar Association, and has been successfully handling asbestos mesothelioma and lung cancer cases and automobile accidents for Terrell • Hogan for almost thirty years.

The American Bar Association was founded in 1878 and its purpose is to create and advance rules of law and policy for the entire legal profession and law schools in the United States. The House of Delegates of the ABA meet twice a year to propose, debate and put forth resolutions for all legal jurisdictions and law schools to follow. Recently, the House of Delegates met virtually in Chicago. The results of the meeting were recently published in the Jacksonville Daily Record – Guest commentary: American Bar Association adopts new policies.
